泰勒斯之後必學的兩個哲學家，名字有點相近。

第一個叫Anaximander /əˌnæksɪˈmændə/，中文翻譯為「阿那克西曼德」。

第二個叫Anaximenes /ˌænækˈsɪməˌniːz/，中文翻譯為「阿那克西美尼」。

柯林斯英語詞典（Collins English Dictionary）對這兩位人物有非常簡略的描述，可作為對兩人的第一印象。

Anaximander: Greek philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician who believed the first principle of the world to be the Infinite.

Anaximenes: Greek philosopher who believed air to be the primary substance.

我自己發明了一個助記法：Anaximenes和Thales都是以-es結尾，所以主張也異曲同工（air或water是世界本原）。

這三位都是米利都人，所以名字後面都可以加上「of Miletus」。
